Yesterday was not a good day for Southern California. A good majority of Cali was on fire thanks to the howling Santa Ana winds and while it spells bad news for an arid dried out climate, the winds do nothing but magic for the Ocean. Although there has been weak swell the last few days we have been getting some spectacular sunsets...
Here is a shot of the fires in full force yesterday
I took a trip to New York City a month ago and am just getting around to editing some of the photos now... partly because I have been traveling to such exotic locations as Detroit, Michigan....College Station, Texas and the ever beautiful Modesto, California.
I had a bit tougher of a time in New York than I thought, it has to be the most photographed places on earth and to top that off staying with 3 other guys whose interests were far from photos never helps. Unfortunately I stuck with the tourist path and wasn't able to get that weird, but I am sure I'll be back soon. I stayed with my old buddy Ben and if anyone in the greater New York area works at a hospital and is looking into puchasing surgical devices, then Ben is your man! Let me know if you need to contact the man.
I had a fun little 48 hour journey to Detroit to assist on a job, but thankfully I got home today in time to Vote. On top of that, I'm not sure if it's because I am away from the ocean for a few days or what but every time I come home from a job, I seem to get treated by spectacular sunsets. This being one of them....
